TATTOO
FAQ
frequently asked questions
How should I prepare before getting a tattoo?
Make sure you are well-rested, hydrated, and have eaten a good meal before your tattoo session. Avoid alcohol or blood thinners 24 hours prior. Wear comfortable clothing that gives easy access to the area being tattooed.
Does getting a tattoo hurt?
Pain varies depending on the body part and your personal tolerance. Most people describe it as mild to moderate discomfort. Our artists work gently and professionally to make your experience as smooth as possible.
What should I expect after getting tattooed?
Your tattoo will be slightly red, swollen, or sensitive for the first 1–3 days. You’ll receive aftercare instructions from us to help healing go smoothly. Avoid sun exposure, soaking in water, and scratching the area.
How do I take care of my tattoo after the session?
Gently wash the tattoo with lukewarm water and fragrance-free soap. Apply a thin layer of healing ointment as instructed. Avoid direct sun, swimming, and heavy sweating for at least 10–14 days. Follow our artist’s specific guidance for best results.
Can I use numbing cream before a tattoo?
We generally don’t recommend numbing creams unless discussed in advance with your artist. Some creams can affect the skin or how the ink sets. Talk to us before your appointment if you’re concerned about pain.
Do you accept walk-ins or only appointments?
We accept both, but appointments are highly recommended to secure your preferred time and artist. Walk-ins are welcome when available. You can book online, by phone, or visit us in the studio in Skopje.
What styles of tattoos do you specialize in?
At Strumfovski Tattoo Studio, we specialize in fine line, realism, custom designs, black & grey, and bold traditional tattoos. Each artist brings unique strengths, and we’ll match you with the best fit for your idea.
